Setting up iPhone X - how it works

If you have bought a new iPhone X, it is necessary that you set it up before using it for the first time. To do this, first insert the appropriate SIM card into the iPhone X before you turn on the device. How you then proceed, we explain here.

The first step to setting up the iPhone X is to insert the SIM card. If you don't have a nano SIM for the iPhone X yet, you'll either need to request one from your wireless carrier or cut your old SIM to the appropriate size. Then insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot, which is located on the right side of the device, making sure that the contacts of the card are facing down.

These steps are necessary to set up the iPhone X

Once you have inserted the SIM card, please turn on the iPhone X by pressing and holding the power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Once you see "Hello" on the screen, swipe to the right and select a country.

1. Now it is necessary to connect to the Internet. To do this, select a Wi-Fi connection and log in with the associated Wi-Fi password.
2. After selecting whether to enable location services on the iPhone X, you will next be prompted to set up Face ID. If you have successfully scanned your face, please confirm with "Next".
3. If you have saved the data of your old smartphone in a backup, you now have the option to restore the iPhone X from it. Alternatively, you can also set up the iPhone X as a new iPhone.
