Setting up Google Mail on iPhone - how it works
E-mails, like messengers and video broadcasts, are a common means of communication nowadays. This makes it all the more important to be able to view all your emails directly. Apple offers its own Mail app for this purpose, in which you store your e-mail accounts. You can also connect your Google mail account.
How is the Google mail account connected to the iPhone Mail app?
You can store several email accounts in the iPhone Mail app at once. To do this, you just need to add the corresponding account in your iPhone.- To set up, you need your email address and the username and password of your email account.
- Go to the settings by opening the corresponding app. This is symbolized by a gray gear.
- Now tap on "Account and passwords" and then on Gmail. In the next step, you will be prompted to enter your email address and password.
- After tapping "Next", the data will be verified and you will be asked which data you want to share with the smartphone. You can have contacts, calendar and emails transferred to your smartphone.
- If you can't find the appropriate email provider under "Passwords and Accounts", you can also add an account manually.
- To do this, tap "Other" at the bottom and then "Add Mail Account". Now enter your email information and wait until the service has determined the correct account settings.
- Finally tap "Done".
