Bonjour Service - how the service comes to your PC

You will notice the Bonjour Service when you observe the running processes in the Task Manager. This is a service that is usually installed on your system with other applications such as iTunes.

In Task Manager, processes appear from time to time whose origin you do not always recognize immediately. The "Bonjour Service" is also one of these services. It is usually installed on your system when you install, for example, iTunes from Apple or Creative Suite from Adobe. Thus, it is a harmless service, but it can cause complications on your PC. Moreover, it is considered to be security-prone.

1. Bonjour Service ensures that certain devices find each other within a network. Thus, various data can be shared between devices.
2. If you want to stream files via iTunes, then you need the service, otherwise you can easily uninstall it.
3. Open the "Run Window" in Windows with the key combination "Windows" key + "R". Now enter "appwiz.cpl" and confirm via "Ok".
4. Search for "Bonjour" in the list and click on the entry. Wählen Sie anschließend oben die Schaltfläche „Deinstallieren“ aus.
5. Bestätigen Sie nochmals mit „Ja“ und warten Sie, bis der Vorgang abgeschlossen wurde.
