Remove Google Chrome Notifications
From time to time, your browser will automatically pop up notifications, but with the right settings you can avoid that. You can easily remove unwanted notifications from Google Chrome using Google Chrome Flags.
How to remove notifications from Google Chrome?
Google Chrome has a built-in notification center. This will show you the latest messages from Google Chrome. For example, if you use Google Calendar, the notifications about upcoming events can be very useful. However, if you no longer want to get notifications displayed, you can also disable the service or remove individual notifications.- Open the Google Chrome web browser and enter "chrome://flags" in the URL bar.
- Now disable "Enable formatted notifications", Google Now, "Notifications about detecting new devices" and "Enable synchronized notifications".
- Restart the browser.
- You can also regulate whether websites are allowed to show you messages.
- To do this, go to "Settings" and then continue to "Show advanced settings". Now navigate via "Privacy" to the "Content Settings".
- In the window that now opens, there are three options under Notification, between which you can choose.
- You can also click on "Manage exceptions" and specify for each page individually whether this may send you notifications or not.
- If you no longer want to be shown any notifications at all, select "Do not allow display of desktop notifications for any website".
- You must finally confirm your selection with "Done". You should also restart the browser here to make sure that all changes are applied correctly.
