YouTube: Create a community post - here's how

Videos are the DNA of YouTube, however channel owners can now communicate with their viewers in other ways. Read how to create community posts.

More than text: Images, GIFs, and polls are also possible in community posts.

Keeping in touch with subscribers is important to the existence of a YouTube channel. Community posts are therefore a simple but important tool.

YouTube: Community posts as another communication option

A community post, unlike the usual videos, is a simple static post.
  • You can design this quite differently, for example as a picture post. Even polls are possible.
  • You can post a community post under "Create".
  • These posts also have a comment section - just like the videos so.
  • Content creators can consequently get in touch with their fans there. This is suitable for any kind of communication for which you do not want to create an extra video.
  • The posts are thus either a supplement or an alternative to the video content.
There is, however, a requirement for creating community posts: Your channel must have at least 1,000 subscribers. For small channels, this can be an extra motivation to crack that magic mark.
