Samsung Galaxy Buds+: What is Ambient Mode?

Active noise cancellation is no longer a rarity in modern headphones. However, sometimes the opposite is desired, and for that the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ offer a feature called Ambient Mode.

Auditory attack: Ambient Mode amplifies ambient noise in the Galaxy Buds+.

The Galaxy Buds+ do not have active noise cancellation; this function is only offered by the Galaxy Buds Live, which have a significantly shorter runtime. Ambient noise, on the other hand, can be amplified with both models.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+: This is the Ambient Mode

In Ambient Mode, external sounds are deliberately amplified so that you can perceive them in the headphones.
  • This is practical in many everyday situations, for example, at the train station or at the airport, when you do not want to miss an announcement.
  • With the Galaxy Buds+, you have three levels of amplification to choose from. You set these in the app (Galaxy Wearable), under "Ambient noise".
  • If you wish, you can also turn off the ambient noise completely.
This means: thanks to Ambient Mode, you can listen to music without completely neglecting the environment.
