How to reset your Amazon Echo Dot

If you have problems with the Amazon Echo Dot, restarting the device can already help. To do this, simply disconnect the Echo device from the power and connect it again. However, if the problems persist or you want to sell your Echo device, you can reset the device to factory settings. Depending on the generation, you will have to proceed differently. Follow these steps to reset an Echo Dot with volume buttons:

1. Hold down both the microphone off button and the volume down button on your Echo device until the light ring turns orange and then blue.
2. You will then have the option to reset the Echo Dot using the Alexa app.

If your Echo device has a ring instead of volume buttons to adjust the volume level you will need to do the following:

1. Use a paper clip to press the reset button on the bottom of the Echo device. Halten Sie die Taste für etwa fünf Sekunden gedrückt.
