Nevertheless, newer variants of the device are still available for purchase.

• In the current edition, Gear VR costs around 100 euros. However, the headset is often available for as little as 50 euros. For this price, you get the current variant and a controller. This model is technically superior to its predecessors.
• Additional accessories such as a controller are also not particularly expensive.
• Since the platform is discontinued, however, it is questionable whether it is still worth buying the hardware at the moment. Since September 30, 2020, Samsung's entire VR video platform has also been discontinued. The accounts and the uploaded files have also been deleted.
• In addition, you can no longer download the Samsung XR app from the corresponding stores.
• You can, however, still use the Gear VR offline with already purchased apps without any problems.
