With MailChimp you can control newsletters via the cloud. In doing so, you can create newsletters, send them, manage them and make many other configurations. To integrate the newsletter into your own homepage you need the API Key.

Where is the API Key with MailChimp?

You can control MailChimp completely in your browser. With 25 US dollars a month, you can send as many emails as you want to up to 2,000 recipients. MailChimp works on the principle of "software as a service". To connect MailChimp with your website, you need the API Key.

1. Go to the MailChimp website and log in with your user data.
2. Now click on your name in the bar on the right and then further on "Account".
3. Then go to "Tools" and then to "API Keys". Here you will find all the keys you have created. With "Create Key" you can create a new one. This is then displayed in the list.

MailChimp offers a particularly simple structure and is therefore quick and easy to use. However, if you do not want to run your newsletter through an external server and prefer to use your own, MailChimp is not right for you. Furthermore, MailChimp is only accessible in the English language and you cannot assign rights to specific users. If MailChimp doesn't convince you, there are several other providers to choose from.
