Xing: Turn off notifications

After setting up your profile on Xing, you will be confronted with a lot of notifications in the future. The website puts a lot of emphasis on keeping you updated all the time. However, if you don't want these notifications, you need to adjust certain settings in your profile.

Xing: How to disable notifications

Which and how many notifications you receive through Xing is set in your profile. Editing a few settings will disable most notifications.

1. Open your browser and switch to Xing's website.
2. Once there, log in to your account with your details.
3. On the top right of the navigation bar, click on the small arrow to the right of your profile picture.
4. In the new menu, click on "Settings". Now switch to the option "Notifications".
5. By clicking on the corresponding areas, you open the underlying options.
6. Now it's up to you to check or uncheck all the checkboxes, depending on which notifications you want to allow for this profile.
7. Once you are satisfied with the settings, close the settings. Änderungen werden automatisch gespeichert.

Benachrichtigungen innerhalb der App

1. Auf Ihrem Smartphone haben Sie die Möglichkeit, alle Push-Benachrichtigungen auszuschalten.
2. Wenn Sie dagegen die Benachrichtigungen auf dem App-Icon deaktivieren möchten, dann geht dies über die „Einstellungen“ des Smartphones.
3. Klicken Sie auf die Xing-App und anschließend auf „Mitteilungen“. Deaktivieren Sie hier die Option „Kennzeichen“.
4. Die Bezeichnung der Option kann sich je nach OS-Version unterscheiden.
