APK files are the counterpart to .EXE files under Windows. You can use them to install apps on smartphones. The problem with the format, however, is that it is not allowed to be used by default in your smartphone's security settings. So first of all, these have to be adjusted.

Of course, you first need an APK file that you can install on your smartphone. Nevertheless, you should first adjust the security settings.

1. Open the settings on your smartphone and switch to the "General" section.
2. There you navigate further to the "Security" item and look for the option "Unknown origin".
3. In this section, you can enable the function and thus approve the installation of apps outside the Google Play Store.
4. With these preparations, you can install any apps that you give the necessary rights on the smartphone.

1. To install an APK file now, it must be present on your device.
2. You can either use a USB cable to move the file to the memory or download the file directly in the browser.
3. Suchen Sie im Datei-Manager nach der APK und öffnen Sie diese.
