Audible often provides its audiobooks in .aax file format. If you want to convert the .aax format to mp3, for example to create a CD for the car or to listen to the audiobook without the Audible app, then this is possible with the help of a converter.

How to convert Audible file format to mp3

To download audiobooks from Audible to your computer, the first thing you need is this official Audible software: Audible Manager. Download "Audible Software" from Audible's website and then install the tool. Start the Audible Manager and log in with your user data. Now download the audiobook you want to convert to mp3.

Use tool for conversion

For conversion you now need the tool "AAX to MP3". With its help you convert the .aax files to mp3.

1. Download the AAX to MP3 tool.
2. Open the downloaded ZIP file and run the "AaxToMp3GUI.exe" located there.
3. Click on "Browse" and navigate to the AAX file you want to convert.
4. Once you have found the file, select it and click on "Convert".
