Whoever has an audio CD and would like to save it on the computer in MP3 format does not need extensive music players. In fact, Windows Media Player, which is pre-installed in Windows, already comes with this feature.
Windows Media Player: convert audio CD to MP3
Windows Media Player may not be known as the best player among music lovers, but it has all the basic features. If you have an audio CD, for example, you can not only play it, but also convert it to MP3 and save it on your computer.- Start Windows Media Player and insert the audio CD into your computer.
- On the right side of the Media Player, you should see the contents of the CD after a brief moment.
- Now click "Copy Settings" at the top of the ribbon.
- Select "MP3" as the format. By default, Windows Media Player saves the songs in WMA format. If desired, you can make other settings in addition to the format here.
- Now make sure that there is a check mark in front of all songs in the middle display. If there are songs on the audio CD that you do not want to save, remove the check mark.
- Then click "Copy CD".
