Set up and delete a MyFRITZ account

By setting up a MyFRITZ account, you can use various additional functions, such as remote access via the Internet, and will always be informed about updates. We explain the steps necessary to set up a new MyFRITZ account in this guide.

How to set up a new MyFRITZ account

If you have a Fritzbox as a router, you need a MyFRITZ account to be able to use all the device's features and receive regular information about updates.
  1. To set up a new MyFRITZ account, please first open the user interface of the Fritzbox and log in.
  2. Then navigate in the menu to "Internet" > "MyFRITZ account" and select the option "New MyFRITZ account".
  3. Enter your e-mail address and set a new password before confirming with "Next".
  4. Now still confirm the displayed note and click "Finish".
  5. You will then receive an email with a link, which you please click to activate your previously created MyFRITZ account.

MyFRITZ account: How to delete a created account again

If you no longer need your MyFRITZ account, you can delete it at any time. To do this, open the "myfritz.net" website in your browser and first log in with your e-mail address and the corresponding password. Then click on the "three-dot icon" in the top right corner and go to "Account settings" > "Delete account". There, activate the option "Yes, I want to delete my MyFRITZ account" and confirm the deletion by clicking on "Delete MyFRITZ account".
