E-Scooter: How to get the Circ app for your smartphone

If you want to borrow an e-scooter, there are various providers available. Among the best-known sharing providers is Circ, whose scooters are available in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt, among other places. Renting a scooter from Circ is only possible via the provider's free smartphone app. This is available for both Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded from the Play Store and the App Store, respectively.

App: Follow these steps to borrow an e-scooter from Circ

Once you have downloaded and installed the app, the next step is to register by creating a user account. You will also be required to deposit a payment method, which will be charged when you unlock and ride an e-scooter.

1. To search for a scooter that is available in your area, please open the Circ app and click on the map.
2. Begeben Sie sich anschließend zu jenem Scooter, den Sie nutzen möchten und entsperren Sie diesen durch Scannen des QR-Codes.
3. Neben einer Entsperrgebühr in Höhe von 1 Euro berechnet Circ 6 Euro, wenn Sie den Scooter eine Stunde nutzen beziehungsweise 9 Euro für eine zweistündige Nutzung.
