How to block contacts on Telegram

On the messenger app Telegram, you can block contacts you don't like so that they no longer bother you without your permission. Of course, this also works the other way around and you can also be blocked from other participants. This means that certain content is no longer visible and you can no longer address the contact in question. If you are blocked, you will only see a check mark when sending messages. In addition, "Last online" will only show "a long time ago". Another indicator that you have been blocked is that you cannot add this contact to groups. In addition, you will only ever see the profile picture that was inserted before the block.

1. To block a participant, first open the Telegram app.
2. Then navigate to the overview that contains all your chats.

4. Jetzt wählen Sie „Privatsphäre und Sicherheit“ aus.
5. Ziemlich weit oben klicken Sie daraufhin „Blockierte Nutzer“ an.
6. Dort haben Sie die Möglichkeit, „Nutzer blockieren“ auszuwählen. Tippen Sie diese Option an.
7. Im Anschluss erscheint eine Liste, in der all Ihre Kontakte in Telegram aufgezeigt werden.
8. Nun können Sie all jene auswählen, die Sie blockieren möchten.
