DuckDuck Go: Use Safe Search - the safe search

DuckDuckGo sometimes even shows more results than Google. It can be all the more important to limit the content according to certain criteria, for example if the offspring operates the search engine. This is where Safe Search comes in.

With Safe Search, offensive content is hidden in DuckDuckGo results.

Safe Search is called sichere Suche in the German setting. However, DuckDuckGo is also set to English by default for German users; you can learn how to change the language here.

DuckDuckGo: Safe Search adjustable in different levels

If you have set DuckDuckGo to German, you can find the safe search as follows:

1. Open the settings of DuckDuckGo, for example by going directly to duckduckgo.com/settings.
2. There you will see the entry "Safe Search" relatively far up. You can set this to "Off", "Moderate" or "Strict".

Based on the level set, offensive search results are not hidden at all, partially or completely. This is primarily adult content, but not exclusively.
