What is Google Stadia and what are the special features?

With Stadia, Google wants to establish a gaming platform for everyone - and by cloud.These are the most important facts about Google Stadia:
  • The concept is as suspected: Stadia provides both computing power and games via cloud.
  • The technical heart of Stadia are consequently the data centers. There, lush equipment is used to be able to distribute the enormous performance to millions of customers.
  • According to Google's presentation, the GPUs, which were developed together with AMD, perform up to 10.7 teraflops.
  • The gaming cloud will not be a niche solution, but can compete in the blockbuster segment. According to its own specifications, 4K HDR at 60 FPS is possible.
  • However, one factor must not be forgotten: Players absolutely need a fast, stable Internet line with at least 10 Mbit/s. Google recommends even 35 Mbit / s.
  • In addition, a Google account is necessary and a device that is compatible with Google Stadia

This costs the use of Google Stadia

In the basic version Google Stadia is free. But there is also the option to subscribe, which costs 9.99 euros per month. If you have Stadia Pro, you can use a variety of games for free and get discounts on selected games. To use Stadia on your TV, you also need a Google Chromecast Ultra. This is included in the Stadia Premiere Edition for 99.99 euros.
