Google Stadia: Buy add-ons - this is the new feature

After the spread that Stadia had experienced, not least thanks to Cyberpunk 2077, Google's gaming cloud is rapidly moving forward. One new feature is the purchasable add-ons, which we explain below.

If it can be a little more: Stadia users can now also buy add ons.

If you look around the Stadia menu today, you will find significantly more categories and products than six months ago. Brand new are the add-ons.

Google Stadia: Add-ons as a new category

Add-ons are, as the name already expresses, not games for the cloud, but supplements to it:

• There you can find, for example, extensions like Forsaken for Destiny 2.
• Season and Expansion Passes for certain titles are also available.
• In addition, you can buy the in-game currencies for some games with real money, such as for PUBG and F1 2020.

Stadia is thus building an ever larger ecosphere around the game selection. This gives Google new revenue streams and binds players even more tightly to the service.
