Lenovo: Check warranty status - how to find out runtime

If you own a device from Lenovo, you usually have a warranty of at least two years. After some time, it is not always clear how long your still active warranty is. However, you have the option to check your warranty status.

How to check the warranty status of your Lenovo device

With every new device you get a warranty. In many cases, you can extend or expand it for a fee. Lenovo devices are hardly an exception. The company also offers the option to check your warranty status online. This way, you always know exactly when the warranty expires and whether you might have to extend it.
  1. First, open Lenovo's website in your browser.
  2. Then, enter your device's serial number in the text field marked "WARRANTY".
  3. You can usually find this on the bottom of your notebook in the battery compartment. On other devices, the number can also be found near the battery. On Lenovo's site, you can see the exact location of the serial number.
  4. Now click on "Check warranty", you will be shown the warranty status of the device. In some cases, it is necessary to specify the machine type. This can be found in the operating instructions of your device.
  5. Now you will be shown several links with which you can request a warranty extension.
