Windows 10: Switch from Home to Pro - is that possible?

Windows 10 comes in different versions, which in turn bring different services. If you want to switch from Windows 10 Home to Pro, then you need a valid product key for Windows 10 Pro for this. You can then upgrade directly from your current Windows system.

How to switch from Windows 10 Home to Pro

If you want to upgrade your Windows 10 Home version to a Windows Pro version, this is only possible if you have a valid product key for the Pro version. Alternatively, a digital license is also possible. You can obtain this via the Microsoft Store, for example. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Update and Security" > "Activation". Once you have the key, you can start with the upgrade.

1. If you have purchased a digital license via the Microsoft Store, you can start the upgrade directly. Click on the "Windows Icon" at the bottom left and select "Settings"
2. Then click on "Update and Security" and then "Activation".
3. Select "To Microsoft Store". Here you will now see the "Install" button. Klicken Sie darauf und folgen Sie den Anweisungen.
