Samsung Note 10: Hotspot - how to share your Internet

In order to have access to the Internet connection of your Samsung Note 10 from other devices, you need to set up the smartphone as a hotspot. There are several methods to choose from for this, which also depend on which device you want to share the Internet connection with.

Samsung Note 10: How to set up a WLAN hotspot

With a hotspot, you can share your Samsung Note 10's Internet connection with other devices such as a PC or tablet. Before that, however, you need to activate the hotspot function and set it up via the device's settings.
  1. To do this, open the Samsung Note 10's Settings app by clicking on the "gear icon" in the app overview.
  2. In the settings, then navigate to "Connections" > "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering" > "Mobile Hotspot" and tap on the "Configure Mobile Hotspot" entry.
  3. Set a name as well as a password for your hotspot there and click "Save" to complete the setup.
  4. After you have activated the "Mobile Hotspot Tethering" option, you can use the hotspot and connect other devices to it.

How to share the Samsung Note 10's Internet connection via USB

If you want to share the Samsung Note 10's Internet connection with a computer, you can also do this with a USB hotspot. To use the method, please connect your smartphone to the computer via USB cable and make sure the WLAN function is turned off. On the Samsung Note 10, then navigate to "Settings" > "Connections" > "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering" and move the switch next to "USB Tethering" to the right to enable the function.
