By setting up a mobile WLAN hotspot with your smartphone or laptop, you can enable those around you to use the Internet as well. To do this, you just need to have sufficient data volume and know how to set up the hotspot on your device.

How to set up a mobile hotspot

To allow others to use your mobile hotspot, it is important that they are within a radius of your smartphone. This is because your hotspot has a smaller range than a classic WLAN network.

1. Open the menu on your smartphone and look for the settings button. Click on it.
2. Select the item "WLAN" in the options that appear and look for the item "Mobile network".
3. You will now see an overview of the options and must select "Hotspot" from them.
4. Click on the item "Personal hotspot". You can now turn this on by sliding the switch to the right.
5. Set a password for your hotspot, so that no one can log into your hotspot.
6. Now other devices can find your mobile hotspot among the WLAN networks.
