How to mount and read an ISO file
ISO files have been around for many years, but they are becoming increasingly important. After all, many of today's computers no longer have optical drives - thanks to ISO files and virtual drives, this is not a problem. Windows therefore offers you several ways to mount them as drives.
Mount ISO files with Windows feature
If you are using Windows 10, the operating system already offers support for ISO files.- Drag the ISO file from an external disk to your Windows system. Alternatively, download the file from the appropriate website.
- Once the contents are on your device, double-click the file with the left mouse button.
- After that, the file is automatically mounted as a virtual, optical drive.
- Download Daemon Tools Lite and install it.
- Start the program and click on the desired ISO file under "Images".
- Then click on "Mount" in the bar on the left.
