Cyberpunk 2077: How do benefits work? We explain

As a sci-fi role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077 offers the usual character creation mechanics. These include benefits that are different from the normal leveling system. We explain how it works.

Advantages in all areas: You can improve your character V selectively.

Through all activities in Cyberpunk 2077, you receive experience points, such as for completing missions, but also for using weapons, hacking or sneaking. This allows you to level up and improve your attributes.

Cyberpunk 2077: Advantages are unlocked separately

The so-called advantages exist in parallel:

• Advantages are unlocked independently of the experience points and the level.
• Advantage progress is achieved through a separate advancement system. This depends on the respective activities.
• For example, if you fight a lot with the Mantis Blades, you thereby rise in the separate bar in the talent tree for blade weapons. Every few levels, an advantage point is then unlocked.
• This, in turn, you can freely distribute in one of the talent trees.
• Advantages are, so to speak, perks, that is, buffs or unlocks certain abilities or properties.

In this way, you can make quite a few improvements with advantages, be it increasing the damage from blade weapons, your carrying capacity, the results in item crafting and much more.The character levels exist in parallel and complement the progress by increasing the basic attributes. You need these to be able to use the advantages in the talent trees.
