Numbers: templates - how to save yourself a lot of work

If you have to create tables with the same structure over and over again, you can save them as templates and use them. There are also existing templates that you can add to your list and use at any time. Plus, you have the option to share templates via email, iCloud, or iTunes.

How to create templates in Numbers

If you don't want to recreate a table layout every time, you can save it as a template and add it to your template selection.

1. Open the spreadsheet you want to save as a template.
2. Then go to "File" > "Save as Template".
3. Now you have the option to "Add to Template Selection". After that, you will find it under "My Templates". When you save the template, you may choose the location of the file yourself.
4. In the latter step, you must install the template before you can use it again.
5. To do this, double-click on the file.
6. Then select the menu item "Add to Template Selection".
