iOS: Turn off animations - how to save a lot of battery
Animations are played on iOS when opening or closing an app. If you want to save energy, or even if the animations falter, it can be useful to disable them. This with a few simple steps via the settings possible.
How to turn off the animations on iOS
If an animation jerks when loading an app on iOS, it is particularly annoying. Also, a lot of time is lost when an app first plays a very long animation before launching. Fortunately, animation can be disabled quite easily.- Go to the Settings app on your smartphone, and then continue to the "General" category.
- At about the middle of the list, you will find the "Operating assistance" option. In this category you will find "Reduce motion". If you activate this option, no more animations will be played.
- Disabling the animations should drastically increase your battery life. But beware: together with the animations, the animated depth on the title screen will also be turned off.
- By turning them off, the apps should also run smoother, since there is now more processing power available.
