Valheim: With these tips you can defeat the dragon mother Moder

The icy mountains of Valheim are hostile to life right from the start. The final boss of the biome also fits into this picture, as Moder is a real challenge. Read how to slay the dragon mother.

Moder is the fourth of currently five bosses in Valheim. Thus, it is by no means a task for beginners.

Valheim: Defeat Moder - here's how

You summon Moder by placing three dragon eggs on the altar. Before doing so, you should know this info:

• Frost resistance is an absolute must for this fight. This is true because of the environment alone, but Moder himself also works with frost damage.
• The dragon mother spends a lot of time in the air - this calls up the bow and arrow. For the necessary penetrating power you should have at least the hunter's bow, better still the Draugr fang. The overview of the available bows can be found here.
• Since Moder is sensitive to fire, fire arrows should be the first choice. Poison arrows are also an effective means. Against frost and spirit, however, the dragon mother is immune.

The battle mechanics themselves are not too complicated: When Moder is in the air, you dodge frosty ranged attacks and respond with fire arrows. If you get hit, your movement speed is temporarily slowed down, which can be quite problematic. Healing potions are thus also recommended, as are means of increasing stamina.
