Valheim: Defeat trolls - with these tips it works

Not only the bosses of Valheim provide for exciting fights. Early on, you'll encounter huge trolls that take a correspondingly large hit and dish it out just as well. We explain how you can still succeed.

David against Goliath: You have to be tactical against trolls, otherwise you have no chance.

Trolls should not be missed, because you can make strong armor pieces from the loot. However, it is not advisable to rush into battle without thinking.

Valheim: How to become a troll hunter

Because trolls cause enormously high damage - high enough to let your character die with one blow if things go badly.

• The motto is therefore ranged combat: equip yourself with bow and arrow. This variant is much safer than close combat.
• Also make sure you have eaten enough so that you do not lack stamina. You invite the troll namely to a cat-and-mouse game.
• This is quite simple: You run away from the troll and permanently bombard him with arrows.
• The moments in which he strikes are particularly important. If you are at a safe distance, you have several seconds for harmless attacks.
• Do not lure the troll to your base, because he would make there kindling - literally.

Trolls have 600 HP and are thus reasonably tough, but by no means invincible. As a reward you get several troll skins, from which you can make the armor.
