Steam: Change screenshot folder - how to do it

Steam stores your screenshots in the cloud and additionally on your hard drive. There you can specify the location as you wish. We explain how you can change the screenshot folder.

You can decide where your Steam screenshots are stored.

The longer you play, the more screenshots you take. So it makes sense not to leave the storage location to chance.

Steam: Change screenshot folder as desired

You can change your screenshot folder as follows:

1. Open the "Settings" in the Steam client.
2. Select the "In-game" section.
3. Click "Screenshot folder".
4. Select the desired folder or create a new folder. Confirm the selection with "Select".

Note that all previous screenshots are not moved by this, but remain in the previous folder. However, all future screenshots will end up in the new folder.
