Open Computer Management in Windows 10

In Windows 10, you can set your entire system. Mostly, you use Computer Configuration for this purpose, which allows you to create various configurations and settings, as well as task schedules for scripts. Computer management consists of several areas - the system area, the data store, and services and applications.

How to open Computer Management in Windows 10?

If you want to open Computer Management, just right-click the Windows icon and then continue to "Computer Management". Alternatively, you can also open the window via the Run function. To do this, press the Windows key + R and type "cmpmgmt.msc". In Computer Management, you can then set three system areas.

1. In the system area, you have the option to schedule scripts and view information and diagnostic results in case of problems. Under the "shared folders" item, you can look up which folders on your PC are shared on the network. You can furthermore set the users of the PC.
2. In the data storage settings you can see which data carriers are currently connected to your PC. This includes removable media such as USB sticks or external hard drives.
3. Under "Service and Applications" you can look at all the services that are currently running.

If you want to make further settings, you should take a closer look at the Control Panel. Here you have the option to customize other system settings and shape Windows to your liking.
