Suppress Samsung Galaxy A70 number

If you want to prevent your phone number from being displayed when you call someone, you need to set up phone number suppression. You can find the corresponding option for this in the settings of your Samsung Galaxy A70. Depending on which Android version you have installed, the procedure differs.

Setting up Samsung Galaxy A70 caller ID suppression

Using the latest Android Pie on your Galaxy A70, follow these steps to enable caller ID suppression:
  1. Access the Phone app and tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner to access the additional options. In the menu, select the item "Settings".
  2. Tap in the overview on "Additional services" and then on the item "Show own phone number".
  3. It opens a drop-down menu in which you can activate the option "Hide number".
Note that by suppressing the own phone number not only advantages arise. Although you remain unrecognized during calls, you can also not be called back.

Older Android versions

If you have an older version of the operating system installed on your Galaxy A70, you have to proceed a little differently to turn on the number suppression:
  1. Open the phone app and tap on the top right on the three small dots or on "More".
  2. In the drop-down menu, tap "Settings" and then "Call settings" or "Call".
  3. Then select the item "More settings" or Additional settings".
  4. Tap there either the option "Caller ID" or "Show own number".
