It is quite easy to control your Apple TV via app with your iPhone. Starting from iOS 12, you can find the "Apple TV Remote" app automatically on your smartphone in the control center. If you use an older iOS version, then download the app yourself from the App Store. To do this, simply type "Apple TV Remote" in the search bar at the top and install the search result of the same name.

How to proceed to use Apple TV Remote

1. You can find the remote control app via the control center on your iPhone.
2. On the iPhone X, you can find the control center by swiping down from the top right corner. On all other models, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
3. Now tap the icon for Apple TV Remote. If you do not see this in the control center, navigate to "Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls" and tap the plus next to the Apple TV icon.
4. Then select your Apple TV and enter the code to unlock it, which will be displayed on the TV.
