Controlling Mac remotely with iPhone - how to do it
Apple has always made sure that all of the company's devices work perfectly together and are compatible without any problems. For this reason, with just a few steps, it is possible to remotely control your Mac with your iPhone. Even when you are on the road, you can thus access your Mac with your iPhone.
This is how you control the Mac with your iPhone
The easiest way to remotely control the Mac is with screen sharing from the iPhone. This involves setting up a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) connection that allows you to control the Mac from another device.- Open the Mac's System Preferences by pressing "Command + Space" and typing "System Preferences". After that, go on to "Shares".
- In the following window, enable the "Screen Sharing" option. This will start the VNC server of the Mac. You will need the VNC address to connect later.
- Click the "Computer Preferences" button and set a password, which you will then use to access the screen.
- In order to access the Mac from outside, you must also log out of the Mac with the profile that allows access. You can bypass this security setting with the Terminal command "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.RemoteManagement VNCAlwaysStartOnConsole -bool true".
- Download VNX Viewer on your iPhone. After launching the app, swipe on until you can click the "Get Started" option. Follow the instructions to connect to the Mac.
