What does "Configuring Windows" mean?

If Windows isn't working the way you want, then you should configure Windows. But what does the term actually mean exactly? Configuring Windows means changing settings in the operating system so that it behaves differently in certain situations.

How to configure Windows

Most configurations can be done in the Settings or Control Panel. You can access the Settings by clicking on the Windows icon at the bottom left to open the Start menu, and then clicking on the Settings menu item in the Start menu. You can open the Control Panel by typing the word Control Panel in the search field at the bottom left of the Windows icon.

The following configuration options are available in Windows

1. In the Settings, you can change the display settings by clicking on the "Display" menu item. There you can make configurations regarding brightness and color as well as font size and screen resolution.
2. When you are in the settings, you can configure your Internet connection under "Network and Internet" and, for example, check your Internet connection or change the network.
3. In the settings, you can change the background, your lock screen or the colors under the menu item "Personalization".
4. Unter dem Menüpunkt „Erleichterte Bedienung“ stellen Sie die Sprachausgabe, die Bildschirmlupe oder den Kontrast ein.
5. In der Systemsteuerung können Sie unter dem Menüpunkt „Programme“ Ihre installierten Apps und Programme verwalten oder deinstallieren.
6. Unter „Hardware und Sound“ in der Systemsteuerung können Sie die an Ihrem Computer angeschlossenen Geräte verwalten.
7. Wenn Sie in der Systemsteuerung sind, können Sie unter „Zeit und Region“ das Datums-, Uhrzeit- oder Zahlenformat anpassen.
