How do I set up my phone with Telekom?

You usually get a telephone connection automatically when you take out a Telekom tariff. Meanwhile, telephony is no longer exclusively handled separately, but is set up and managed directly via the router. With Telekom, you also set up your telephone connection directly via the modem.

How to set up your phone at Telekom

In order to make phone calls, your connection must first be set up at the router.

1. First, call up the Speedport user interface by starting your browser and entering "http://speedport.ip" in the address line and confirming with [Enter].
2. Now you must log in to the portal with your user data. You will find these within your documents or on the back of your router.
3. To start the setup, click now on "Telephony Wizard".

Step by step: How to set up the phone

1. Once you have started the wizard, you will be guided through the complete process in individual steps.
2. First, select the provider from the list, which in this case is Telekom.
3. Geben Sie nun Ihre Rufnummer ein und achten Sie dabei auf die Länder- beziehungsweise Ortsvorwahl.
4. Klicken Sie auf „Prüfen“, damit der Assistent Ihre Angaben checken kann.
5. Anschließend klicken Sie auf „Weiter“, um den Prozess fortzuführen.
6. Abschließend können Sie den Buchsen noch Namen und Rufnummern zuweisen, jedoch ist dieser Schritt optional und das Telefon kann auch jetzt schon verwendet werden.
