To create a Microsoft account, only a few steps are necessary. With the account, you can operate Windows, Xbox Live, Outlook or OneDrive, for example. So a Microsoft account makes a lot of sense for you, depending on your needs.

You may not even need to create a new Microsoft account. That's if you're already signed up for one of the company's myriad services. A Windows Live ID, for example, or an Xbox Live ID is linked to a Microsoft account and you already have credentials for all of Microsoft's services. In a few steps to your own Microsoft account

If you don't have an account yet, you can create your own Microsoft account like this:

1. First, open the Microsoft homepage.
2. Click on "Sign in" in the top right corner.
3. Then select "You don't have an account yet?" from the form fields. Then create one now!"
4. After you have clicked this button, you must provide some necessary data. This includes, among other things, your name, date of birth and gender. You will also need to provide an email address. This can be your previous one or a newly created one ending with @outlook.com, @hotmail.com or @hotmail.com.
