With the free software OpenOffice Presentation it is possible to design and play your own slides. For this, you can choose from numerous options that allow you to create a customized presentation. It is also possible to change the background of all or just one slide.

How to change the background in Open Office presentation

Whether in school, university or workplace, presentations are becoming more and more important. To facilitate the creation of the slides, there are various programs such as Open Office. The software offers you all the important functions with which you can design your presentation according to your wishes. Here it is also possible to change the background of the slide.
  1. Click with the right mouse button on a free area of the slide whose background you want to change.
  2. Now a context menu opens. Here, select the option "Page" > "Set up page". Alternatively, you can select an object on the slide. Then select the "Format" tab at the top and then "Page" > "Page Setup".
  3. In the newly opened menu, you will again find several tabs. Select the item "Background" and click on it to change the tab.
  4. Here you now have the option to choose between different background colors. Alternatively, you can also set a gradient, hatch or bitmap. Just activate the corresponding option for this.
  5. Once you have made the selection and confirmed it, you will be asked whether the setting should apply to all or only one slide.
