Saving a Word document as an HTML file - how to do it
If you want to create an HTML file, a special HTML editor is usually used. However, you do not always need this. Especially not if you already have the document as a Word file. For this reason, the word processing program offers you to save a document as an HTML file.
How to save a Word document as an HTML file
To create an HTML file, you don't always need an HTML editor. Alternatively, you can write your code in a Word document and then save it as an HTML file. For this, only a few steps are necessary in Word.- Start Word and open an empty document.
- Now write your HTML code. Note the correct syntax.
- Once you have written the code, go to the menu item "File" at the top.
- Then select the option "Save as".
- Click on the entry "Browse".
- In the next window, click on the arrow on the right side at "File type" to open another drop-down menu. Select here the entry "Website" from the list.
- In addition, enter a name for your document at "File name". In addition, you can select the desired location for the file.
- Have you made all the settings, click on the "Save" button. Then an HTML file file is created and saved in the previously selected location on your system.
