Windows 10: Disable ads - how to do it

The way to do this is done in a few steps:

1. Open the Windows settings with the key combination "Win" + "I".
2. Click on "Personalization".
3. Select the entry "Start" in the left bar.
4. Disable the slider at "Occasionally show suggestions in the 'Start' menu". This is namely activated by default.
5. After that, navigate under "Personalization" additionally to "Lock screen", select "Picture" and deactivate the switch next to "Show entertainment, tips and more from Windows and Cortana on the lock screen".
