Sims 4: Change names and character traits

If you want to change the names and character traits of your Sims in Sims 4, you have to use a cheat. In "Create a Sim" mode (CAS mode), however, this is not possible, there you can only adjust features such as the outfit of your Sims.

How to change names and character traits in Sims 4

Names and character traits of your Sims can be changed in Sims 4 if you send your Sim back to CAS mode.

1. To get back to CAS mode, open the cheat console. To do so, press [ctrl]+[shift]+[C] simultaneously.
2. Now enter the following code: testingcheats true
3. Confirm with Enter and activate CAS mode with the following cheat: cas.fulleditmode
4. To exit the cheat menu, press [esc].

To change your Sim

To make the desired changes now, select your Sim. You will now see the menu option "Change in Create a Sim". Click on this option to enter the CAS. Simply remove the features you want to change by clicking on the red cross. After that, make your new selection. Once you are satisfied with the makeover, click the check mark and you will be taken back to the game.To change the outfit as well, select the next dresser and then "Plan Outfit".
