When using a smartphone, backing up data at regular intervals is a must. This is the only way to make sure that all your data is still there should you lose your phone. The Xiaomi MI 9 also offers different options to back up data. The easiest way is via Google.

How to create a data backup on the Xiaomi MI 9

You have two options to create a data backup on the MI 9 and save it. Either you use Google Drive or you save an internal backup on your PC or another storage medium.

1. Go to the settings by opening the corresponding app.
2. Now tap on "Users" > "Backup & Reset" and then activate the option "Backup my data".
3. Now you only have to set up a Google account if you have not already done so. To do this, go back to the settings and then "Backup account" and "Add account".
4. To save a backup on the PC, it is best to use the FonePaw software. Nach der Installation können Sie das Smartphone mit dem PC verbinden und die Software starten.
