Photoshop: Create a frame - how to beautify your pictures

If you want to add a frame to your digital photos, you can create one in Photoshop. The image-editing software makes it quick and easy.

Photoshop: How to create your own frames for your photos

If you use Photoshop to edit your images, you also have the option of adding a frame to your images directly in the program. To do this, first open the corresponding photo in Photoshop and call up the "Layers" control panel.
  1. If the image consists of several layers, please merge them into one layer under "Layer" > "Reduce to background layer".
  2. Then convert the background layer into an editable layer under "Layer" > "New" > "Layer from background" and confirm with "OK".
  3. Now navigate to "Image" > "Workspace" and make sure that the checkbox "Relative" is selected and the alignment for "Anchor" is set to center.
  4. Now enter a value for the number of pixels to determine the size of the frame that will be inserted around the image and click "OK".

Adjust the color of the frame in Photoshop

Once you have inserted the frame around your image and determined its size, changes to the color are still possible afterwards. To do this, please select the option "Color area" under "Layers" > "New fill layer", set "White" as the color and drag the new layer under the image layer. Then double-click on the color layer and try different colors.
