FaceTime group - how to start a group call

With FaceTime you can communicate with each other face-to-face via video call. For this, the application also holds one or two useful features. To also be able to talk to a whole group, it is possible to start a group call.

How to start a FaceTime group

With FaceTime, you can also start a conference at work with colleagues or in everyday life with friends and family. So far, this feature is only possible on newer Apple devices, but otherwise proves to be extremely useful.

1. First, you just have to decide whether you want to use FaceTime via app or whether you want to use the group conversation option in the Messages app. In either case, you can add 32 participants at a time.
2. Check in advance whether you have activated the FaceTime app in the "Settings"
3. If you use FaceTime via app, then open the app and tap on the plus. This allows you to add up to 32 people using their name, phone number or email address. Then select the video button, which is in green, to start the conversation.
4. Use the group call via iMessage, then first open your "Messages". There, click on "Contacts" and then either select the participants who should join the conversation or start an already existing group. Zum Schluss tippen Sie auf „FaceTime“, um die Konversation zu beginnen.
5. Werden Sie hingegen zu einer solchen Gruppe eingeladen, dann treten Sie entweder über den Mitteilungs-Button auf Ihrem Sperrbildschirm bei oder öffnen Ihre Nachrichten-App und klicken dort auf „Beitreten“.
