Skype: Create group call - how it works

Skype is mainly used to start a call with the other person. In doing so, it is possible to transmit with picture or only with sound. In Skype, there is also the option to start a group call, in which several users use the camera and microphone in parallel.

Skype: How to create a group for a call

Prerequisite for a group call is that you have an account with Skype and also your friends are already in your contact list.

1. Now start Skype and sign in with your data in the account.
2. Select a contact from your contact list and open the chat.
3. In the top right corner you will now find the button "Create Group".
4. In the new window you can select which of the other contacts in your list should be added.
5. Once you are satisfied with your selection, click again on the button "Create Group".

How to create a group call

1. Now to start a group call with the contacts within the group, you need to switch again to the chat you just created with the selected participants.
2. Klicken Sie auf das Telefon-Symbol oben rechts im Fenster.
3. Nun werden alle Teilnehmer angerufen und können nacheinander in das Gespräch einsteigen.
4. Jeder Teilnehmer kann für sich entscheiden, ob er mit Kamera und Mikrofon beteiligt sein möchte.
