iPhone X: Import pictures - this is how you proceed

If you want to import pictures from other devices to your iPhone X, there are various ways to do so. Apple, for example, offers the possibility to transfer photos via iCloud. In Windows, you can easily use existing on-board tools for the transfer.

How to import pictures to your iPhone X: Windows computer

You can copy photos to your iPhone from your computer without any additional programs or apps.
  1. Connect your iPhone X to your computer via USB cable. Windows will then install all the necessary drivers.
  2. Before the iPhone is displayed in Explorer, you must confirm on the smartphone that you trust the connected device. The corresponding dialog for this appears as soon as you pair the iPhone with the computer.
  3. Select the iPhone in Explorer and navigate in the directory to the folder "DCIM". There you will find all the photos that are on the device. Images from your computer you can simply drag & Drop copy into the folder.

Load images via iCloud to the iPhone

You can also upload images to your iPhone X via Apple's cloud service iCloud. If you have previously used an iPhone and stored the pictures in the cloud, you only need to log in on the new device with the Apple ID and synchronize. The pictures will then be downloaded from the cloud to your iPhone X. Via the iCloud desktop client, you also have the option of transferring pictures from your computer to the cloud and thus to the smartphone.
