On what frequency does Bluetooth transmit?

Bluetooth is a transmission standard that makes it possible to exchange data wirelessly between two devices over a short distance. For this to work, both devices need a specific chip. The transmission runs thereby over a predefined frequency.

With this frequency Bluetooth transmits

If you want to connect two devices with each other, Bluetooth is a good choice. This wireless connection provides wireless data transmission between devices. Since the transmitting power of Bluetooth is 1 mW, the distance between the two devices is limited to a few meters. Depending on the Bluetooth class, however, the range can vary and even be 100 meters for class 1.
  1. The frequency range of Bluetooth is between 2.402 and 2.480 GHz.
  2. The width of the 79 channels is 1 MHz. The frequency jumps up to 1,600 times within one second between 79 frequencies, this is also called Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum, FHSS for short.
  3. By frequency hopping interference with other devices transmitting in the same frequency can be reduced.
  4. Since version 1.0, the Bluetooth standard has changed in many areas. Meanwhile, there is already version 5.
  5. In the latest Bluetooth version, you can expect a data rate of 2 Mbps. Zudem wurde der Entfernungsbereich auf 40 Meter erhöht.
