The Internet is big and limitless - and that can be annoying in many a Google search. Because in many cases, you're only interested in the German-language search results. After all, you can set the desired language in Google search.

German or German-language search results can be easily set in Google.

Google search wants to be as user-friendly as possible and present you with optimal results for each query. The language can play an important role in this. In just a few steps, you can ensure that Google only shows you German results after a search query.

Google: German results only - this is how it works

The language settings of Google are easy to find:
  1. First, call up the German page Google.de.
  2. Then enter a search term and press "Enter" to get the results.
  3. Then click on "Settings" at the top and then on "Languages (Languages)"
  4. At the top you can set which language Google products should use. Below that you will find the right menu to set German results for Google search.
  5. You will see "Search results are currently displayed in the following languages", below that you can read at least one language. Click "Edit" to the right of it.
  6. Now set "German". If necessary, remove further check marks from the languages.
  7. Finally, click "Save".
The search results will then be updated, so that only German-language pages are displayed to you. If you select multiple languages instead, you may get results in German as well as in the other selected languages, depending on the search query.
