On YouTube you can find numerous videos from different areas of life. If you have a YouTube account, you can also upload videos yourself, comment on them or subscribe to a channel. If you would like to use the chat function, this is possible via YouTube's Android or iOS app.

How to chat in the YouTube app

YouTube offers you the possibility to watch videos, comment or subscribe to a channel. There is also a chat feature that can be accessed through the Android or iOS app. However, the procedure for using the chat is the same for both app versions.

1. First download the YouTube app to your smartphone or tablet and launch it.
2. Log in to the app with a YouTube account.
3. Now open a video of your choice and click "Share" below the video. The button is indicated by an arrow pointing to the right.
4. Now you have the option to select one or more people from your contacts that you have on YouTube.
5. Followed by this, you can enter a message in the text field below. Sobald diese fertig ist, klicken Sie auf den blauen Pfeil, der nach rechts zeigt, um die Nachricht abzuschicken.
