Finding an IP camera on the network - this is how it works
An IP camera is a network camera that must be connected to an Internet router in order to be used. Once you have correctly connected the camera to the router, you can always find it on the network. You can read exactly how this works here.
Finding it on the network: This is an IP camera
The term IP camera is an abbreviation for "Internet Protocol Camera". This is often referred to as a network camera and is a closed system that relays video streams over an IP network. If you have installed an IP camera, you can access the camera via any Internet-enabled PC and control what is happening in your home. How to find the IP camera in the network
An IP camera is connected directly to a router for use. In doing so, the establishment of a connection can be made both via LAN cable and via WLAN. If you want to set up the camera for the first time or make changes to the settings, this is done via the user interface of the camera. To access this, you need the IP address of the camera, which is automatically assigned by the network when it is connected. If you do not know the IP so far, it can be determined by searching for the IP camera in your home network.- To find the camera, please open any browser on your PC and call the user interface of your network router by entering "Router-IP" and confirm with "Enter".
- Then log in to the user interface of the network router with your user data and navigate there in the menu to "Home Network".
- Here you will find a list with all devices that are currently connected to your router and you can read the camera IP next to the name of the camera.
